My career started at 16 years old, in 2021, while the world was still recovering from a global pandemic. I had fallen in love with tattoos and piercings very early on but was turned away by many tattoo shops because I was a minor. Creating art was all that was ever important to me, so I became self-taught, traveling to the clients who would see my work and give me a chance to make something great.
I was constantly discouraged from being self-taught at such a young age. Yet, it was soon after all my hard work that I secured my first apprenticeship at 18 years old while studying to get my degree in business. The long nights and closed doors to pursue what I loved to do were a wake up call to me and pushed me further. It is a passion of mine to make sure that one more person each day can appreciate the hustle and creativity that lie on the backs of black women today. My journey is just beginning as I connect with other entrepreneurs and local creatives daily.
